The guys behind the Risottini are Daan Klein and Merijn Kok. During an internship in Barcelona they got to know each other well and it soon became apparent that they had the same ambition, passion and ideas. They believed that good food should not be difficult, but should be accessible to everyone.
FROM PASSION FOR HORECA TO BALL BOSS
After earning their spurs in the Amsterdam Horeca, they dared to take the step. Inspired by Italian cuisine, they came up with a completely new snack: the Risottini. Dutch on the outside, Italian on the inside!
After a year of banging, corona threw a spanner in the works. 100,000 balls were in the cold store, but no catering business could sell them. So Daan and Merijn started the website hundred thousand balls.nl. Within 48 hours all products were sold to consumers!
Nowadays, the Risottini are selling like hot balls again, and we are well on our way to conquering the Dutch drink menu. Besides Teun, Sander also came to work for us full-time. Both are responsible for sales to the hospitality industry.
OVEN & AIRFRYER PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
